Kentucky Ichthammol Ointment is a black drawing salve used as a poultice on gravels or boils and as an emollient or topical anti-infection healing ointment on hooves or legs. Ichthammol has anti-inflammatory, bactericidal and fungicidal properties. Ichthammol is commonly referred to as "drawing salve".
Indications: Used as an aid for equine hooves.

Directions: Thoroughly cleanse affected area with mild soap and water. Dry with a clean towel. Apply with a brush until affected area is covered.

Precautions: WARNING: CAUSES EYE IRRATATION. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves when handling. Thoroughly wash hands and arms when finished handling this product. Use in a well ventilated area. If cracking or hoof deterioration occurs discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.
